Maths

This week the children have worked so hard and are beginning to get used to the quick pace of year 5.

Our first maths lesson introduced the children to Roman Numerals and their rules. To ensure the children are using these everyday they are writing the date in maths in roman numerals.

The rest of the week saw the children learning how to read and write numbers up to a million. The children have been using place value counters to support their learning as well as partitioning boards. I am really pleased with the progress they have made already.
