Fieldwork in Cowes

As part of their geographical studies, the children have been in Cowes today collecting data to answer their fieldwork question, ‘How are buildings used in Cowes High Street?’ Walking from Gurnard Primary School to Cowes and back allowed the children to discuss both human and physical geography features. They then Used tally charts to identify the different types of shops and premises in Cowes. Some of the children also asked the public questions to find out why they were in Cowes and how they got there.

Later in the week, the children will present their data using pie charts.
