Climate in Scandinavia

Do you know the difference between weather and climate?

Weather is what you experience and it changes minute by minute, whereas climate is what you would expect to find in a country. We live in a moderate climate.

Scandinavia has a varied climate, they have cold winters and short days as well as very long days in the summer. In the northern parts of Scandinavia which extend to the Arctic Circle they have a tundra climate where the ground has a permanent permafrost and a subarctic climate. Moving south they experience roughly the same climate as Europe.

During the lesson the children compared three graphs about climate.
