 How has the economy in Cowes changed over time?

There were some great discussions in year 5 concerning the different jobs in Cowes over the years. Since J.S. Whites folded the economy of Cowes has changed considerably. Some children think the increase in population has brought a greater demand for more housing and shops, thus, there are more builders and shops in Cowes. Some, though that we have lost some of our skills in manufacturing as we no longer build seaplanes and other large boats as they are often made in other countries as it is cheaper.
